Concrete survey to establish the condition of a concrete structure

Using our trained eye for concrete damage, a state-of-the-art laboratory and proven research methods, we provide you with an accurate analysis of the condition of your concrete structure.

An inspection and investigation proposal agreed upon in advance will serve to define the scope of the work and the investigation methods to be used to establish the condition of the structure and any damage. We then provide a custom repair and/or maintenance recommendation based on the inspection and damage analyses.

Inspection on land, at sea, and in the air
Solid Services quite literally carries out inspections on land, at sea, and in the air, as necessary. Using hanging gantries, aerial platforms, certified abseilers (for rope access) and divers, we can inspect any structure inside and out.

On-site sampling and investigation
The Solid Services inspection teams are fully equipped to carry out on-site sampling and investigations. For example, we use electromagnetic field strength meters or radar technology as a non-destructive means to map out the reinforcement. We also have advanced equipment for detecting corrosion activity in the reinforcement. If necessary, we drill for samples of the structure to submit to various laboratory tests. We can check strength and durability properties, for example, or determine the degree of penetration of substances harmful to concrete or (reinforcing) steel, such as CO2 and chlorides.
